Author's perspective,
Vera walked into her mansion. Her parents preparing for her wedding already.
"Mother, Who is the guy?" She asked as she sat beside her mother on the couch.
Her mother, Laila replied, "Jeon Jungkook"
Vera raised her brows.
"The only son of Jiwon Jeon? Really, dad?" She asked and rolled her eyes.
"Yes, really, sweetheart." He smiled at vera then continue, "They have been sending their proposal for a month now."
"A month? And you guys are telling me now?" She sighed and stood up.
"I don't care. I just have to marry." She walked upstairs into her bedroom.
Her mother leaned back on the leather couch and sighed.
"I wish she was happy than accepting everything we throw at her." Laila said.
Her father, Aston looked at his wife.
"We are atleast not forcing her, honey. Vera is not denying to marry too. You know already that Jungkook is a great man for our daughter." Aston sipped his whiskey.
"I just hope Jungkook don't try to over power her."
Aston chuckled darkly to Laila's words.
"She's my daughter after all."
Meanwhile,
Jungkook'sperspective,
I was in my study room when my parents entered out of nowhere.
"What are you doing here?" I asked slightly irritated by their sudden appearance.
"We finally got a perfect match for you." My mother beamed in happiness.
A perfect match?
They meant woman.
"Mom-"
"You are marrying her. No excuses. You have already rejected ten mafia princesses." My father's cold words landed in my ear and I wished to disappear.
"Dad, who is she?" I stood up from my chair, straightening my shirt.
My mother slammed a photo on my desk in joy. Oh, another picture of a girl which I'm gonna rip and throw in dustbin.
I did not even glance at the photo and kept my eyes locked on my parents.
"Dad, I don't have time for this all." I sat back in my chair, keeping that photograph in my drawer and closed it.
"Jeon Jungkook!" My father's voice raised.
I closed my eyes in frustration.
"What do you want, dad? An heir? Is that all you want?!" My control slipped away.
"No, I fucking want my son to get married and have a fucking partner!"
"Dad, I hate these women! They constantly wants attention, worshiping and what not! Very few are understanding and they are hard to find. So, i just skip it because It doesn't make sense to me." I replied glancing at my mother and father.
"She's not a random girl! She is Aston Arora's daughter, Vera Arora."
Aston Arora?
Vera Arora?
"Great, When I rejected all the girls in korea, you found out another one and this time an Indian girl?" I scoffed and rubbed my forehead.
"Arora's are perfect for our legacy and empire too. They are not less or more than us. They are equal to us and It's already a yes from their side. I want you to stop throwing any more tantrums, Jungkook or I'm going to disown you."
I chuckled darkly.
My father who's empire is currently running because of me will disown me.
"Fine. Give me some time." I said and rolled my eyes.
"You have two hours to think."
"Two hours? Are you guys playing shit with me?"
Then my mother sighed and said, "You better get ready already."
They left but my father gave me a bombastic side eye like if I reject this proposal he will shoot me for sure.
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair in frustration. I sat back on the chair, leaning back and closing my eyes.
Marriage.
I never want to marry anyone.
I rubbed my palms on my face and opened the drawer and took the photo.
My breath hitched. G-G-Gorgeous.
I cleared my throat and gripped the photo tightly. My eyes glued to the woman in the photo. She is beautiful. More beautiful than I've heard.
Till now I only know that Vera Arora is not like random mafia princesses. She fights. She shoots. She argues like she is meant to win.
But her beauty...
God.
She is not pale white like koreans, Her dusky skin makes her more beautiful. Those plumpy lips, Sharp eyes and most important...she's wearing that indian outfit. I don't know what it's called but she looked like an Indian Goddess.
I stared at the photograph for a few more seconds.
A woman I had never wanted.
A marriage I had never asked for.
And yet...
My lips curled into the faintest smirk.
It's a thousand times yes.
