Missed Information : Vera used to live in India before and then her family shifted to Korea when she was 15 years old for their 'Illegal works'. So, Vera basically lives in korea, Till now their parents were in contact due to their work and Jungkook and Vera has never met each other, just heard about each other.

Author's perspective,

Jiwon (Jungkook's father) walked into Jungkook's room after knocking on the door. Jungkook was sitting on the bed leaning back to the headboard and scrolling through his tablet.

"Jungkook,"

"Yes, Dad." Jungkook's eyes lift up from the screen when he felt his father was standing in front of him.

"It's already been more than two hours now."

Jungkook sighed and kept the tablet aside and stood up from the bed facing his father. He was taller than his dad.

"Dad," He rubbed his chin and took a pause.

"Fine. I am ready."

Hearing his words, Jiwon exhaled in relief.

"I don't want you to step back from your words." Jiwon warned in calm voice.

"I won't." Jungkook sat on his bed again.

"Good. I will discuss with Arora's as now you're ready to marry Vera."

Jiwon left.

Jungkook groaned softly and dropped his head back against the headboard and sighed loudly. He opened his nightstand's drawer and looked at Vera's photo.

He bought the photo in his room before.

He stared at the girl who stared back at him. His heart skipped a bit.

"Get a grip, Jungkook" He muttered to himself despite reached for the photo and took it out from the drawer.

"I haven't even seen her yet..if her picture can drive me so crazy...I'll be doomed when I'll meet her." He said while staring at her picture.

"Too beautiful"

He sighed and put the picture back into the drawer after few seconds and closed it.

"Soon to be Jeon Vera." He thought and punched in the air.

He was mad at himself that why suddenly he's acting out of control and his usual cold self.

"What's wrong with me?" he muttered.

He had never been this distracted over a woman. He didn't even know her. All he knew were the things he'd heard.

Vera Arora. Daughter of Aston Arora. A powerful mafia family. Smart. Dangerous. Short-tempered.

And apparently, impossible to control.

"She'll probably be a pain in the ass." He paused.

Then his eyes drifted toward the drawer again.

"But a beautiful one."

He immediately frowned at himself.

"Stop."

Next Day.

Jungkook put on his suit jacket, checking himself in the mirror almost unconsciously. He walked downstairs and raised his brows when he saw his parents.

"Why are you still here?" He asked and sat on the dinning chair.

"What do you mean? Are you kicking us out, son?" His mother passed him a plate of breakfast.

"Probably? You have your own house."

"We know but we are staying tonight because your father and Arora's have arranged a dinner tonight."

Jungkook choked on his first bite. His immediately stared at his father.

"Dad, I am not going to run away."

"You'll won't but your age will."

"What do you want then? Dinner tonight, Engagement tomorrow and wedding a day after? This is not how this works, Dad. I don't even know Vera. We have never met each other. Is this too hard to understand?" He snapped.

"No. You will meet her tonight. Wedding is in three weeks."

Three weeks?

He scoffed and sipped his coffee.

"You guys think my life is a joke." He mocked.

"We don't, Jungkook. We are doing what is right for you." His mother said sternly.

Apparently, Jungkook listens to his parents but not when he doesn't wants to.

And it seems, Right now He does wants to. He's excited in his mind but that would ruin his image a lot.

Meanwhile,

At Vera's house.

"Vera, I want to tell you one thing." Aston looked at vera who was sitting across him, eating breakfast.

"Yes, dad?"

"Vera, after the wedding, try not to be too... intimidating with Jungkook."

Vera raised an eyebrow.

"Intimidating?"

"Yes. I know you're not going to change who you are, and I'm not asking you to. Just... don't make him regret marrying you within the first week."

Vera scoffed.

"If he can't handle me, that's hardly my problem."

Aston rubbed his forehead.

"That attitude is exactly what I'm talking about."

She smirked.

"Relax, Dad. I'll behave."

Aston stared at her suspiciously.

"That sounded like a threat."

"It wasn't." She chuckled darkly making her father shook his head in defeat.

"That somehow makes it worse."

Her mother joined them, "Also, we have to attend dinner with Jungkook's family tonight."

"I know. You have been repeating this since I woke up, Mom." Vera rolled her eyes in frustration.

"I'm just telling you to skip your practice for tonight.

"Sure." She mocked.

So, Vera is not forced to marry Jungkook, but she isn't interested either. She is marrying him because she knows at one point in her life, she has to marry someone.

Well, Vera still haven't seen Jungkook. Not any photograph or anything. If she doesn't like him when they meet, It's over. No wedding will take place. That's what her plan is.

Tonight was only a meeting.

A chance to see whether the man she was supposed to spend her life with was actually someone she could tolerate.

Vera took a sip of her juice and glanced at the clock. She had no idea that the man she was about to meet had already stared at her photograph long enough to lose his composure. And Jungkook had no idea that the woman he was secretly looking forward to meeting had already decided-

If she doesn't like him, the wedding is over.
